The Clippers host the Phoenix Suns as the series shifts to Los Angeles on Thursday night.  Ivica Zubac (47% opening tip win rate) will square off against Deandre Ayton (71% win rate) for the opening tip.  Ayton has won three of five opening tip-offs versus Zubac over the past two seasons.

In six games this season between these teams, Moses Brown, Zubac, Russell Westbrook and Eric Gordon have all cashed first baskets for the Clippers, while Devin Booker and Kevin Durant have cashed first baskets for the Suns.

I expect the Suns to win the opening tip in Game 3, and also expect them to score first.  In the first two games of this series, Durant has taken the Suns' first shot, and he made it in Game 2. Durant and Booker combined for 53 points in Game 1 and 63 points in Game 2, so I like their chances to score first in Game 3.
