The Pacers and the Lakers will face off in the final of the highly entertaining NBA In-Season Tournament. The Lakers opened as -3.5-point favorites in Saturday's championship game.
The Indiana Pacers knocked out the Milwaukee Bucks in the East semifinal. They opened with +3800 odds to win the NBA Cup when lines opened in the summer and had the longest odds to win it entering the knockout round at +1700. In the West bracket, the Lakers demolished the Pelicans leading by as much as 40 points en route to a 133-89 win. The Lakers were +600 entering the knockout round.
The tournament MVP odds show a two-man race with LeBron James leading the way as the odds-on favorite at -120. James scored 30 points in 23 minutes in the semifinal game against the Pelicans and 31 points against the Suns in the quarterfinals.
Tyrese Haliburton, of course, is the other man at the top of the board at +105. He's put on a show in his past two games with at least 25 points and 10 assists in the past two tournament games.
