The NBA announced the groups and schedule for the inaugural in-season tournament, which is set to take place in November.
NBA Commissioner Adam Silver announced the in-season tournament in hopes of generating eyeballs and revenue during the doldrums of the season.
The NBA has split the teams into three Eastern Conference groups and three Western Conference groups. The tournament tips off November 3 and the NBA Cup will be handed out in Las Vegas on December 9.
