NBA Injury News
8:30 p.m. ET Update: Giannis Antetokounmpo has been cleared to play in Game 1 of the NBA Finals and will start after missing two games with a hyperextended knee. There's been no word if he'll have any sort of hard minutes limit or general restrictions
2:30 PM ET Update: Antetokounmpo is listed as questionable in the Bucks' latest injury report in advance of Game 1 on Tuesday. The team previously listed him doubtful, as Antetokounmpo continues to recover from a left knee hyperextension.
He's missed the past two contests with the knee injury and in his absence, Bobby Portis has entered the starting lineup and has averaged 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in 34.0 minutes per game
Giannis Antetokounmpo is officially listed doubtful in advance of Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday as he continues to nurse his hyperextended knee.
Antetokounmpo was seen on the floor during the Bucks practice on Monday and head coach Mike Budenholzer said he was making progress but had no update on his when the two-time MVP might return.
He's missed the past two games with the knee injury and in his absence, Bobby Portis has entered the starting lineup averaging 17.0 points and 8.5 rebounds in 34.0 minutes per game.
Cameron Johnson, who missed Game 6 of the Western Conference Finals due to an illness is expected to be available for Game 1, according to Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams.
