NBA Injury News
6 p.m. ET Update: Cam Payne will play Saturday, as expected, after previously being considered probable with a sprained ankle. He played just four minutes in Game 3 after suffering the ankle injury. Teammate Abdel Nader (knee) is expected to be available for the first time in three months following surgery. Payne's return will push E'Twaun Moore back out of the rotation and allow coach Williams to reduce minutes for Chris Paul. Williams believes he played Paul too many minutes in Game 3, exacerbated by the loss of Payne.
Coach Lue stated Marcus Morris will likely be a game-time decision heading into Game 4 on Saturday.
Morris was pulled from the starting lineup minutes before Game 3 due to a lingering sore knee but was available off the bench and played 24 minutes. Lue added that the team didn't know until less than 30 minutes before Game 3 that Morris would play, and a similar situation could occur Saturday.
Cam Payne missed the second half of the loss on Thursday due to a sprained ankle, but he is currently listed as probable in advance of Game 4 on Saturday. Abdel Nader (knee) is expected to be available for the first time in three months following surgery. Payne's likely return should prohibit playing time for E'Twaun Moore and allow coach Williams to reduce minutes for Chris Paul. Williams believes he played Paul too many minutes in Game 3, exacerbated by the loss of Payne.
