It is the final week of the NBA regular season.
There are plenty of players who are playing well for their respective teams and Tuesday's schedule provides plenty of betting opportunities on player props.
We'll be using the Action Labs Player Prop tool to compare our NBA projections to the props posted at a variety of sportsbooks. Below, I have laid out three prop bets that I'm playing, the case for each bet and the best books to find odds on those player props.
NBA Player Props & Picks
Moses Brown — Over 9.5 Rebounds (-115)
Cavaliers vs. Magic | Cavaliers -8.5 |
Time | TV | 7 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Book | DraftKings |
Cleveland heads to Florida to take on Orlando in a must-win game. The Cavaliers have been without Evan Mobley, their front runner for rookie of the year honors, for the past week. That said, insert Moses Brown. He has stepped into the starting lineup and has been filling up the stat sheet.
In four starts, Brown is averaging 24 minutes per game while racking up close to 12 points and 12 rebounds per contest. In fact, Brown has logged a double-double in each of the last three outings. Additionally, according to NBA Advanced Stats, the Magic rank 29th in opponent rebounding. Further, the Magic are allowing opposing centers to grab almost 12 rebounds per contest.
The Magic will be without Wendell Carter Jr., who is the their top rebounder. I don’t believe Orlando has the size the contain and keep Brown off the glass. Brown’s big, tall frame should dominate inside and I believe he will get into double figures.
Jalen Green — Over 23.5 Points (-115)
Rockets vs. Nets | Nets -17.5 |
Time | TV | 7:30 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Book | BetMGM |
Jalen Green and the Houston Rockets journey to New York to take on the Brooklyn Nets. Green has been on a tear since the All-Star break. In fact, he has increased his scoring average by 3.5 points each month since the turn of the calendar year. When Green was asked how his great play as of late, he simply said he has more confidence in himself.
Further, Green has gone over this projection five consecutive games, including four in a row with 30 or more points. According to Hashtag Basketball, over the last 30 days, the Nets are allowing opposing shooting guards to average 23.3 points per contest as well close to four 3-pointers per outing.
Additionally, over the last four games, Green is averaging close to 38 minutes and getting close to 23 shot attempts. The Rockets are also without Christian Wood and Eric Gordon for the rest of the season. As a result, Green has become the featured player in Houston. I expect that for the rest of the season and believe Green continues to shine in this showdown.
Giannis Antetokounmpo — PTS + RBS Over 43.5 (-120)
Bucks vs. Bulls | Bucks -4.5 |
Time | TV | 8 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Book | DraftKings |
The Milwaukee Bucks will take a short road to battle the Chicago Bulls. Both teams are fighting for playoff position in the very tight Eastern Conference race. And I'm expecting Giannis to have another big game for the Bucks.
In three matchups against the Bulls, Antetokounmpo is averaging 30 points and 15 rebounds per contest. Giannis has cleared this projection in five consecutive games against the Bulls.
Further, he's playing in the month where he's averaged 33.3 points and 12.8 rebounds. The Bulls don't have the bodies like many other teams in the East to stay in front of Giannis. Additionally, Antetokounmpo has gone over this projection in four of the last seven games in the regular season.
That said, I expect another MVP performance to continue for Giannis in this pivotal division matchup.
