Wednesday night features a large 12-game NBA slate as there are no basketball games tomorrow due to the Thanksgiving holiday.
Since we are in the season of giving, there are three assist props that are popping in our Action Labs Player Prop tool tonight as the best player props on the board, all from guys who are not know for their passing acumen.
Let's take a look at the top player props for Wednesday's games.
NBA Player Props & Picks
Royce O'Neale, Over 3.5 Assists (-132)
Spread | Raptors -2.5 |
Time | TV | 7:30 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Line | FanDuel |
Despite having a fully healthy team and Ben Simmons moving back into the starting lineup, the Nets are still two-point road underdogs on the road against the Raptors tonight without Pascal Siakam and likely Scottie Barnes (doubtful). This line doesn't make sense, but this Royce O'Neale assist prop certainly does.
Over the last three games, O'Neale has not only scored double-digit points in each game, but is averaging 8.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds per game. O'Neale has gone over this 3.5 assist prop line in eight of his last 10 games. During that time he is averaging a whopping 5.9 per game, which is well over this prop line.
Our model has O'Neale projected 5.2 assists tonight as the over is providing great value on FanDuel. He may be fourth on the Nets in potential assists, but O'Neale is averaging a career-high 4.6 per game this season in his first year on the team. O'Neale has plenty of players to pass to on this high-powered offense.
He is also playing over 35 minutes a night giving him plenty of opportunity to hit this over. The Raptors are allowing 26.3 assists per game, which ranks 22nd in the league. They will be playing without one (potentially both) of their top wing defenders, which will be a problem against this star-studded Nets team.
Lauri Markkanen, Over 2.5 Assists (-120)
Spread | Jazz -11.5 |
Time | TV | 9 p.m. ET | NBA League Pass |
Best Line | FanDuel |
After a loss last game, the Jazz are now tied with the Suns for the best record in the Western Conference. Not too bad for a rebuilding team. They are double-digit home favorites tonight against the Pistons who are one of the worst teams in the league (4-15) and playing without Cade Cunningham.
The Pistons rank 29th in Defensive Rating (117.5), entering tonight's games as they are allowing 118.0 points per game, which is the second-highest in the league. They are allowing opponents to shoot 48.3% from the field, which bodes very well for this Jazz team that is averaging 117.4 points per game.
Lauri Markkanen leads this Jazz team in scoring, but it is his assists prop that we are targeting tonight. Over the last four games, Markkanen is averaging 3.0 assists per game and has gone over this prop line in three of four games. With a 120 implied point total, the Jazz are going to be scoring plenty tonight.
Our model has Markkanen projected for 3.2 assists in this cupcake matchup and with how frequently Markkanen has hit this prop line, this is one of the best props on the board. Add it to the assist parlay.
