Sunday's best NBA player props focus on two of the slate’s four games:
- Golden State Warriors at Dallas Mavericks: 7 p.m. ET
- Cleveland Cavaliers at Los Angeles Lakers: 9:30 p.m. ET on NBATV
As a reminder, you can dig deeper on these and many other prop bets by using our FantasyLabs NBA Player Props Tool. It leverages our projections against five of the most popular online sportsbooks and grades each prop on a scale of one to 10.
Mavericks SG Wesley Matthews
The Pick: Under 13.5 points (-125)
Matthews has been a staple of the Mavs' rotation for the past few seasons, but it appears his role is beginning to dwindle.
He's played 28.5 or fewer minutes in three of his past four games, and it’s tough to score points when you’re on the bench. He's averaged 13.4 points per game in 30.1 minutes per game this season, so there appears to be some value with the under here.
Matthews has scored 11 or fewer points in seven of his past nine games, so this prop seems exploitable. I like the under up to -150.
Lakers G Brandon Ingram
The Pick: Over 19.5 points (-114)
Ingram is coming off a tough matchup against the Jazz, who were able to limit him to 15 points. He's in a much easier spot against the Cavaliers, who rank last in defensive efficiency by a wide margin.
The Lakers are currently implied for 115.75, which ranks second on the main slate. Ingram has also seen a usage bump of +2.2% with both LeBron James and Rajon Rondo off the court this season, resulting in an average of 20.1 points per 36 minutes.
I like the idea of buying low on the Lakers in a butter-soft matchup. I’d play the over on this prop up to -135.
