Prop bets can be a great way to get action on a game. Bookmakers don’t have to worry about taking a lot of action on them, so there isn’t as great an incentive to post a competitive line.
As a result, props can be some of the most exploitable bets on the board.
These props can become downright unfair when you combine them with the FantasyLabs Player Prop tool.
Friday’s best props focus on two of the slate’s 12 games:
- Washington Wizards at Toronto Raptors: 7:30 p.m. ET
- New Orleans Pelicans at New York Knicks: 7:30 p.m. ET on ESPN
Let’s dive right in.
Raptors F Pascal Siakam
The Pick: Under 14.5 points (-105)
Siakam has been a revelation for the Raptors this season, but he could be due for a slight reduction in playing time today. The Raptors are getting closer to full strength, with both C.J. Miles and OG Anunoby expected to play vs. the Washington Wizards. Siakam is currently projected for just 29.5 minutes in our NBA Models, which makes this prop just a touch too high.
There’s some value here with the under – it currently has a Bet Quality of nine in the FantasyLabs Player Props tool – but I don’t think there’s a ton of wiggle room. I wouldn’t play it at much more than -105.
Pelicans G Jrue Holiday
The Pick: Over 9.5 assists (+110)
Anthony Davis has gotten the headlines for the Pelicans this season, but Holiday has been arguably their most steady producer. He’s currently averaging a career-high in both points and assists per game, and he’s in one of the best spots of the day vs. the New York Knicks.
They rank just 29th in defensive efficiency this season, and the Pelicans’ implied team total of 121.5 ranks second on the slate. Holiday has handed out at least 10 assists in four of his past six games, including 10 against the Knicks in their first meeting this season.
I love the idea of getting this prop at better than even money but would be willing to play it up to -125 as well.
