We have three NBA player props for this Friday, and we're focused on a trio of key players who could be in line for big (or poor) performances in NBA Cup group play today.
76ers vs. Magic sets the stage at 7 p.m. ET, and one of our experts will be fading Philadelphia's superstar center Joel Embiid. Our second pick of the day comes from Wizards vs. Hawks, so we will also be taking a look at Washington forward Alex Sarr. The third and final player prop on out experts' betting card is for Heat vs. Pacers, and Bam Adebayo is the player of interest.
Continue below for our NBA prop picks for Friday, November 15.
NBA Player Props Friday
- Joel Embiid Under 37.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists (-127, FanDuel)
- Alex Sarr Under 6.5 Rebounds (-125, Caesars)
- Bam Adebayo Over 18.5 Points (-120, bet365)
76ers vs Magic Player Prop Pick
Joel Embiid was not in MVP-form in his season debut. He shot 2-of-11 from the field and stumbled to 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 5 assists. Embiid labored through 26 minutes and appeared winded for much of the game.
We'd normally expect a player returning from injury to start ramping up his workload, but it's hard to know if Embiid is capable of playing 30+ minutes in his current state. I'm expecting him to stay in the 26-28 range here.
Orlando is once again one of the best defenses in the league. They're 2nd in defensive rating and 1st in points allowed per game. They've held centers to the fewest points per game, rank 9th in rebounding rate, and are 5th in assists allowed per game.
It's a tough matchup all around for the Sixers' big man.
Pick: Joel Embiid Under 37.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists
Wizards vs Hawks Player Prop Pick
I'm going back to a fade of Alex Sarr after a win on Wednesday. He's struggling to make a consistent impact, and Washington has a deep group of rebounders.
Sarr is 3rd on the team in rebounds at 5.8 per game. He's 2nd in rebound chances at 10.9. However, he's one of four starters averaging 4+ rebounds and 7+ rebounds chances. Sarr saw a slight uptick in rebounding with Kyle Kuzma out, but Kuzma is back in the lineup. Sarr is also being pressed for playing time by Jonas Valanciunas, who's outplayed him on both ends.
Atlanta is a middling rebounding matchup. They rank 13th in rebounding rate and 18th in rebounds allowed per game. Sarr has only cleared this number in two games all season, although one of those games was against Atlanta. He had just 5 boards in the other game against them.
Pick: Alex Sarr Under 6.5 Rebounds
Heat vs Pacers Player Prop Pick
By Kyle Murray
Bam Adebayo sets up for another strong game here with Jimmy Butler ruled out once again for the Heat tonight.
This is a good matchup for Bam, as the Pacers have allowed the 6th-most points in the paint and the 8th-most second chance points per game in the NBA this season.
Additionally, since the start of last season, Bam has scored 19+ points in 75% of the games that Butler has missed. I expect that trend to continue for him tonight against Indiana.
Pick: Bam Adebayo Over 18.5 Points
