NBA Player Props for Tuesday, Dec. 3
- Tyrese Haliburton Under 30.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists (-120, bet365)
- Luka Doncic Under 8.5 Rebounds (-130, bet365)
- Malik Monk Over 15.5 Points (-135, Caesars)
Pacers vs. Raptors Player Prop Pick
This line is inching closer and closer to over/under 30, and I'm guessing we get there after tonight. Tyrese Haliburton is averaging his worst marks in scoring, rebounding, and assists as a Pacer this season. We've heard vague rumors about a potential injury, though he hasn't missed any time.
Toronto is no longer an easy matchup. They're getting key players back in the lineup and have moved up to 12th in defensive rating over the past 10 games.
We also have to talk about the home/road splits. I don't put too much stock in those kinds of trends, but it's become a frequent talking point for Haliburton this season. He's averaging 22.7 points on 48.1% shooting at home, compared to 11.9 points and 31.7% shooting on the road. His 3-point percentage is 20.3% lower on the road. Is that just small-sample variance? Maybe!
But there's also a tangible volume aspect. Haliburton is taking nearly four fewer shots on the road per game, despite playing close to the same amount of minutes. If he's being less aggressive on the road, for whatever reason, it's something to factor in.
Pick: Tyrese Haliburton Under 30.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists
Grizzlies vs. Mavericks Player Prop Pick
Luka Doncic has taken a step back on the glass this season, averaging a career-low 7.6 rebounds per game. Dallas' revamped frontcourt has led to unprecedented levels of competition on the glass.
Doncic had been 1st or 2nd in rebounds and rebound chances in every season of his career heading into this season. He's slipped to 3rd in rebound chances this season, and PJ Washington is only 0.1 behind him.
Washington actually leads the team in rebounding. Daniel Gafford and Dereck Lively pace the team in rebound chances. All four players are averaging 13-15 rebound chances per game.
Memphis leads the league in rebounding rate. They've allowed the 9th-fewest rebounds per game. Doncic has recorded 9+ rebounds only twice in his last 12 games.
Pick: Luka Doncic Under 8.5 Rebounds
Rockets vs. Kings Player Prop Pick
By Kyle Murray
Kings' head coach Mike Brown came out after last game and said that Malik Monk will be a starter going forward, as he has clearly earned a bigger role for this team.
Monk has played 34+ minutes in three straight games, and has scored 19+ points in each game as a result.
On a per-minute basis, we should expect to see a decline in his scoring and usage, since he'll be playing with higher-usage players more often, but it shouldn't be an overly significant of a dip, and his newfound ceiling of 35+ minutes is more than enough to make up for that.
I have Monk projected for 20.6 points tonight.
Pick: Malik Monk Over 15.5 Points
