The Magic have been hit hard by crucial injuries in the frontcourt. They're missing Paolo Banchero, Franz Wagner, and Mo Wagner.
That will open up minutes and opportunities for Tristan da Silva. He's been a starter for much of the year, but he's only averaged 27.6 minutes. As a starter, da Silva has posted 8.9 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
The better split to consider is probably when da Silva has played 30+ minutes. He's done it 9 times and averaged 12.8 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.6 assists.
Brooklyn is weak defensively and on the glass, but they rank dead last in pace. It's not a great spot to rack up stats.
Pick: Tristan da Silva Under 20.5 Points, Rebounds, & Assists
Scottie Barnes hasn't been great since coming back from injury, but he's gotten it back together the last couple of games, scoring 26 and 24 points.
The volume and the minutes have been good over the last few games, and this spot is a great one.
The game's total is massive, sitting at 240, which isn't surprising considering this is a matchup between two of the top-6 teams in pace.
With a 1.5-point spread, this game should stay close, and Barnes should play close to 40 minutes.
I have Barnes projected for 2.5 full points over this number, making this a great EV bet.
Pick: Scottie Barnes Over 20.5 Points
Jalen Williams has been hit-or-miss lately, but the volume has been great. He has been averaging over 20 shots per game over the last nine games.
He gets a great matchup versus the Grizzlies tonight, who are playing at the fastest pace in the league.
Even though these are two of the top-4 defensive teams, the total is still set at 230.5.
Williams should continue to see large volume, and he's due for some positive regression after shooting under 40% from the field over the last nine games. I have Williams projected for 2 full points over this number.
Pick: Jalen Williams Over 21.5 Points (-115)
