Last night, the Lakers were double-digit favorites and cruised to a 128-111 victory over the Raptors. Now, they're double-digit favorites again against the Wizards.

On the second night of a back-to-back, it may be D’Angelo Russell who serves as the leading man tonight.

On Monday night, the Pacers cruised to a 133-111 victory over the Nets with Tyrese Haliburton leading the way. They'll face off again tonight, this time in Brooklyn, but I'll be backing his co-star, Pascal Siakam, tonight.

D'Angelo Russell

Over 23.5 Points + Assists

With a big fourth quarter last night, D'Angelo Russell finished with 25 points and finished as the Lakers' leading scorer.

Neither LeBron James nor Anthony Davis saw much action in the fourth quarter. The Lakers have not submitted an injury report for tonight's game, as of writing.

However, facing a Wizards team that also played last night, it may be a spot to give either James or Davis the night off.

Russell's usage is more tied to James' presence on the floor. Without him, his assists would be a smash spot at 7.5 or likely 8.5 in this matchup. Russell did have seven assists last night.

That's part of the reason I'm backing this combo tonight, as he can cash it whether James plays or not.

Russell has scored 18 points or more in six of his last eight games. In five of those games, he's scored at least 23 points, which means he would need only one assist to hit this line.

Yet, he also has had at least four assists in nine of his last 10 games, averaging 7.2 dimes per game in that span.

Additionally, Washington ranks 30th in scoring defense and 29th in assists allowed, which means Russell will be in a great spot to excel in both areas.

I like him to hit 24 points and assists combined tonight, and he has double-double potential if James is ruled out.

Pick: D'Angelo Russell Over 23.5 Points + Assists (-120)

Pascal Siakam

Over 21.5 Points

Pascal Siakam put up 13 points by halftime of Monday night's victory. However, he finished with 15, as he did not play in the final 16-plus minutes of the game with the Pacers winning handily.

Still, Siakam is averaging 23 points per game in his last six games against the Nets. In the three games he went over, he scored 37, 28 and 24 points — safely over the 22 we'll need from him tonight.

Siakam is also averaging 23.2 points per game over his last 10. He has hit this line in six of those games, scoring at least 25 points in five.

In Monday's game, it was Tyrese Haliburton who went over 25 points with 27 on the night. However, he also had 13 assists, and he's still leading the league with 11 assists per game.

Haliburton will find a lot of success setting up Siakam if the Pacers can get out and run once again. Over the last 15 games, Indiana ranks second in pace and fourth in offensive rating.

Meanwhile, the Nets sit 22nd in defensive rating over that same stretch.

The Pacers took advantage on Monday and scored over 130 points against Brooklyn. I expect Siakam to have a bigger contribution tonight if the Pacers put another crooked number on the scoreboard.

Pick: Pascal Siakam Over 21.5 Points (-113)
