  • With two pivotal Game 5s on Tuesday, our NBA player props analyst has two overs he loves on superstars playing at home.
  • Munaf Manji is backing Jimmy Butler and Chris Paul to bounce back after consecutive road losses.
  • Check out his picks and analysis below.

The NBA Playoffs continue on Tuesday night with a pair of Game 5s. The Miami Heat look to bounce back on their home floor after dropping Games 3 and 4 in Philadelphia. Similarly, the Phoenix Suns look to take 3-2 lead over the Dallas Mavericks after dropping consecutive games in Dallas. Below I've listed a couple of player props I like for these matchups.

We'll be using the Action Labs Player Prop tool to compare our NBA projections to the props posted at a variety of sportsbooks. Below, I have laid out two prop bets that I'm playing, the case for each bet and the best books to find odds on those player props.

NBA Player Props & Picks

Jimmy Butler, Over 1.5 Steals (-160)

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Miami HeatHeat -3.5

Game 5 between the Philadelphia 76ers and the Miami Heat tips off Tuesday night in Miami. Jimmy Butler has been by far the best player in the series (for all four games). As great as Butler has been on the offensive end, he’s been just as terrific on the defensive end.

Butler has been creating havoc on defense and has recorded at least two steals in every playoff game so far. Since joining the Heat, Butler has played the 76ers eight times during the regular season and has recorded at least two steals in six of those games.

This prop is a bit juiced at -160, but I am still willing to lay the juice on a player prop that has hit in every game in the postseason.

The Phoenix Suns look to take a commanding 3-2 series lead vs. Mavericks on their home floor on Tuesday. Future Hall of Famer Chris Paul did not have great games in Dallas and fouled out early in the fourth quarter in Game 4. He only played 23 minutes and scored five points for the Suns.

However, the Suns will be back on their home floor, and Paul should have a big night. In home games this postseason, CP3 is averaging 23.2 points, 9.2 assists and five rebounds per game. In those five home games, CP3 has gone over this projection of 29.5 total points, rebounds and assists four times.

According to NBA Advanced Stats, Paul is shooting 54.4% from the floor at home and is a perfect 100% from the free throw line. Additionally, Chris Paul is averaging five more field goal attempts and 1.5 more 3-point attempts at home this postseason.
