Nets PG D’Angelo Russell
The Pick: Under 22.5 points (-125)
Russell has been fantastic for the Nets this season and rightfully made his first All-Star team. That said, his scoring stock is likely to take a hit with Spencer Dinwiddie back in the lineup.
He has played 29 minutes or fewer in each of his past two contests, and it’s going to be tough for him to crack the 23-point barrier in limited minutes. He’s averaged 20.7 points per game in 30.2 minutes per game this season, so this line is a little high given his current playing time projection.
Russell is a dynamic scorer — which makes betting the under scary — but I think this line holds value up to -135.
Thunder PF Jerami Grant
The Pick: Over 5.5 rebounds (-125)
Grant figures to be one of the primary beneficiaries from the absence of Paul George on today’s slate.
He averaged 37.4 minutes in two contests without George this season and has averaged seven rebounds in those contests. He also has a nice matchup vs. the Spurs, who rank just 20th in team rebound rate this season.
This is my favorite prop of the day, and I’d bet the over up to -160.
Bucks F Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Pick: Under 25.5 points (-114)
Giannis is currently questionable for tonight’s matchup vs. the Jazz, but this line feels too high if he’s ultimately able to suit up. He’s averaged just 28.4 minutes per game over his past two contests, so he will likely be limited in some capacity if he plays.
He is averaging 16.5 points per game over his past two games, which is a steep decrease from his average of 26.8 this year. The Jazz are also allowing the fifth fewest points per game, so it’s a difficult matchup for Giannis as well.
I love this under. Giannis will likely be limited if he plays, and the bet will be cancelled if he doesn’t. I’d play it up to -150.
