Pistons vs. Nets
In a battle between two already-eliminated teams, the Brooklyn Nets are nearly double-digit home favorites against the Detroit Pistons tonight.
The Nets have a 112-point implied team total in this juicy matchup tonight. Meanwhile, the Pistons have lost 11 of their last 12 games and are likely playing without star point guard Cade Cunningham yet again.
In the midst of the Nets' struggles, Nic Claxton is having a great year. He's averaging a near double-double with 12 points and 9.9 rebounds per game while shooting 63% from the field. It's the second straight year that Claxton is averaging 12 or more points and over nine rebounds per game. The Nets have found their center of the future.
Claxton has found plenty of success in this matchup against the Pistons' frontcourt. In their previous three meetings this season, Claxton is averaging 12.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. He has scored at least 11 points in each game while shooting 66.7% in those games.
Opposing big men have had no trouble scoring on the Pistons' interior. Detroit is allowing 54.3 points per game in the paint this season, which is the fourth-highest in the league.
Given how well Claxton has played in this matchup and recently, he should be able to make his presence felt by dunking the ball in this cupcake matchup.
Claxton is projected to score 12.3 points tonight, which is well over his points prop of 10.5 at FanDuel. I wouldn't go higher if this prop moved to 11.5 points or more.
Pick: Nic Claxton Over 10.5 Points (-111)

Hawks vs. Nuggets
Currently locked into the Play-In Tournament, the Atlanta Hawks will likely have to win two games to find themselves back in the playoffs.
Trae Young continues to nurse an injury, which will provide more opportunity for Hawks guard Bogdan Bogdanovic.
In 25 games without Young this season, Bogdanovic has played 34.3 minutes per game while averaging 4.1 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game. That is comfortably over his rebounds and assists prop tonight.
Our model has Bogdanovic projected for 8.1 rebounds and assists in this matchup against the Nuggets.
The Hawks are double-digit road underdogs, but this game features the highest total on the slate at 221.5 points. With the Hawks playing at the sixth-fastest pace in the league, expect Atlanta to push the pace even without their All-Star point guard.
The Hawks have been a run recently winning six of their last eight games. Bogdanovic has been a big reason why as he is averaging 19.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game. He has recorded seven or more rebounds and assists in seven of those eight contests. Even in a difficult matchup, Bogdanovic can capture enough peripherals.
The Nuggets are trying to maintain the top seed in the Western Conference, but they've lost three of their last five games. Jamal Murray is in danger of missing his eighth consecutive game with a knee injury, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Hawks found a way to keep this game competitive.
Bogdanovic is projected to play around 34 minutes which is more than enough time for him to exceed seven or more rebounds and assists in this matchup.
