Bulls vs. Knicks
By Kyle Murray
It has been an up-and-down season for Jalen Brunson. Karl-Anthony Towns has scored more than the center position did for the Knicks last season and is definitely impacting Brunson's overall usage and scoring consistency.
However, this is a great matchup, as the Bulls have allowed the third-most points per game in the NBA this season. Also, Brunson still has a 30.5% usage rate on the season.
Pick: Jalen Brunson Over 26.5 Points (-120)
Wizards vs. Spurs
Washington comes into this matchup pretty healthy outside of a couple players dealing with long-term injuries.
Kyle Kuzma's return is a major detriment for Alex Sarr, whose usage rate has fallen by 4% with Kuzma on the floor. Kuzma also ranks second on the team in rebounds and third in rebound chances, while Sarr is third and second in those categories. With Kuzma healthy this season, Sarr has averaged 6.5 points and 6.5 rebounds.
Sarr is also taking 49% of his shots from 3-point range. The problem is he's shooting 18.6% from deep. The rookie should improve as the season goes on, but it's a rough offensive approach right now as he gets his feet wet in the NBA
San Antonio is seventh in defensive rating and fourth in points allowed per game, and it's 23rd in pace and 8th in rebounding rate. Tangling with Victor Wembanyama is typically tough for opposing centers, so this is overall a challenging spot for Sarr.
Pick: Alex Sarr Under 16.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)
Grizzlies vs. Lakers
By Kyle Murray
Jaren Jackson Jr. went under on his points prop last time out thanks to a blowout, but this is a great bounce-back spot.
The Lakers have allowed the fifth-most points per game this season. Jackson has seen large usage increases with Ja Morant and Desmond Bane out for the Grizzlies, which will be the case tonight. Without those two, Jackson has posted usage rates of 46% and 32% in his last two games.
