If you want to add an extra edge to the NBA Playoffs, check out PrizePicks. The app allows you to parlay NBA player props for real money in 30 states, including some states where online betting access remains unavailable.
A quick refresher if you aren’t familiar with PrizePicks: you can combine up to five different player squares to payout up to 10x your entry.
You can do a Flex Play or a Power Play. A Flex Play gives you lesser odds, but you can win money if you do not nail every pick. A Power Play is all-or-nothing.
Here’s how I would approach today’s slate in NBA Playoffs slate.
What is PrizePicks? A daily fantasy operator — meaning they’re available in more states (30) than sports betting is! — PrizePicks offers a unique opportunity for action on player props in which you parlay two or more plays together.
Joel Embiid Over 11 Rebounds
Joel Embiid led the league averaging 33.1 points per game, but he also averaged double digit rebounds for the sixth consecutive season. The 76ers are 8.5-point favorites as they open up their first round series against the Nets. This is a perfect matchup for Embiid to assert his dominance. The Nets were 29th in Rebounding Percentage this season, allowing 45.1 rebounds per game. Nic Claxton will have his hands full with Embiid in this series.
In his two games against the Nets this season, Embiid averaged a massive double-double with 31.5 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field. The 76ers will play Embiid as many minutes as he can handle and if Claxton gets in foul trouble, Embiid is going to feast on this weak Nets frontcourt.
Since the All-Star break, the Nets have attempted 37.8 3-pointers per game, which ranks sixth in the league. There will be plenty of opportunities for one of the best centers to rack up several rebounds.
Stephen Curry Over 29.5 Points
The most exciting series if you are a fan of scoring is this matchup between the Kings and Warriors. Both teams were top two in points per game this season, so expect a flurry of scoring tonight and throughout this series. The total for tonight is 237 points, which is by far the highest on the slate. Taking Stephen Curry to score 30+ points feels like incredible value. Curry scored at least 30 points in half of his playoff games last season during the Warriors' championship run.
What separates this spot for Curry is the Kings not only lead the league in points scored, but they also allow 118.1 points per game defensively. They rank 24th in Defensive Rating and 26th in points allowed in the paint this season. In his four games against the Kings this season, Curry has been phenomenal averaging 33 points per game while shooting 58.4% from the field, 50% from behind the arc and 91.7% from the charity stripe.
Curry shines the brightest during the playoffs and tonight will be no different. Great matchup for Curry to light up the scoreboard.
