I know this might seem like blasphemy, but hear me out: As amazing as Luka Doncic is, he has yet to top this line in the series. His PRA average through five games is 48.2, and he's struggling with a sore knee, which seems to be affecting his shot.

The knee issues seem to be bothering Luka enough to the point that he’s taking more 3-point attempts as a result — but the shots aren’t falling. Doncic is shooting a career-low in the playoffs at 26.3% on 11.4 3-point attempts.

Playing at home, the Mavs might not need Luka to score as much. If secondary guys like Kyrie Irving, PJ Washington or Maxi Kleber find their rhythm, this helps the bet even more.

Considering Doncic could score 29 points, grab 12 rebounds, dish out 10 assists and still fall short of this prop, there are a lot of outs for this bet to come through.

Clippers center Ivica Zubac has been effective in this series, but the backup big man in Mason Plumlee is who we’re targeting.

According to Joe Dellera in our Friday best bets, the Clippers will need to make adjustments and tweaks to the rotation, which should directly benefit Plumlee.

“Plumlee has seen his minutes go from 12, 10, 10, 14 and 16 in this series, and he’s a different offensive and defensive option for them than Ivica Zubac.

“When Plumlee has played between 10 and 20 minutes this season, he has averaged 5.3 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. His PR prop is set at 7.5, a number he’s exceeded in 71% of those games.”

Close-out games in the NBA Playoffs can be tricky. Motivations on either side can be hard to pinpoint for which teams are “built for this” or which ones are already planning their trip to Cancun.

The latest Sharp Action report for Clippers-Mavs points to Dallas closing the deal — and covering the spread — in Game 6:

“This is complemented by the Big Money signal, where a disproportionate amount of money relative to the number of bets placed on the Mavericks spread suggests confidence among seasoned bettors in Luka Doncic and Dallas' ability to cover.

“Most tellingly, the PRO Systems indicator, which has documented a 59% win rate and a 14% return on investment, is spotlighting Mavericks -8 as a position aligned with historical betting trends that have favored the favorites in NBA Playoff contexts."
