The NBA released the last two-minute report for Game 2 of 76ers vs Knicks, and the Sixers, who had plenty to say about the officials after the loss, may feel slightly vindicated by the report findings. The report addressed the controversial missed calls the 76ers were fuming over in Monday's loss, particularly the play that led to the go-ahead 3-pointer from Donte DiVincenzo.

According to the league's assessment of the final two minutes, Tyrese Maxey was fouled twice in that sequence — once by Jalen Brunson at the 27-second mark in the fourth quarter and once by Josh Hart at the 24.9-second mark.

The NBA deemed that a no-call on Maxey for pushing off at the 27.2-second mark before the ball was inbounded was correct because the contact was marginal. The NBA went on to say that 76ers head coach Nick Nurse should have been allowed to call a timeout multiple times during this span.

"An attempt to call a timeout by Coach Nurse (PHI) during this play is neither recognized nor granted by the officials; the timeout request is simultaneous to Hart making contact with the ball and PHI not having possession," the report said.

The Sixers announced Monday that they would be filing a grievance with the NBA, stating that they have been disadvantaged more than any other team through two games of their series against the Knicks.

According to reporting from Kyle Neubeck of AllPhilly.com, the  76ers this has been one of the key issues for them dating back to the regular season:

The Sixers have been the most disadvantaged team in the last two-minute report this season. A report compiled in early April showed that the Sixers had been disadvantaged on 22 calls in these reports during the regular season compared to 11 such errors going against opposing teams, the worst such ratio in the NBA.
