The Boston Celtics ended the regular season the way they entered it – as the favorite to take home the title (+160). The Celtics finished with the league’s best record, as their 64-18 record was seven games better than the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets, who finished tied at 57-25.
The Thunder are the No. 1 seed in the West thanks to owning the tiebreaker over the Nuggets. However, it’s Denver that has the second-best odds to win it all at +300. Oklahoma City actually has only the fifth-best odds, behind the Clippers (+1400) and Bucks (+1400).
Meanwhile, the Lakers have the 11th-best odds at +3300 despite not earning their postseason berth just yet. They finished eighth in the West, meaning they’ll get two cracks at earning a spot in the playoffs. They’ll take on the Pelicans on Tuesday, and if they lose, they will face the winner of the Kings vs. Warriors showdown.
