Notable Day 2 Updates
Los Angeles Clippers: Russell Westbrook is expected to return to the Clippers on a two-year deal. The Clippers have acquired K.J. Martin via trade with the Rockets for two second round picks.
Houston Rockets: Dillon Brooks will reportedly head to the Rockets via sign-and-trade. Jock Landale reportedly will sign a four-year deal to join Houston.
Los Angeles Lakers: Gabe Vincent is expected to join the Lakers on a three-year deal. D'Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves, Rui Hachimura reportedly agreed to return to L.A. Jaxson Hayes will reportedly sign a two-year deal with the Lakers.
Cleveland Cavaliers: Acquired Max Strus in a three-team sign-and-trade with the San Antonio Spurs and Miami Heat.
8:45 p.m. ET Update: Fred VanVleet will reportedly head to the Houston Rockets and sign a three-year, $130 million contract. The Rockets had the longest odds to win the NBA title, but the move immediately shifted Houston's odd from +50000 to +35000.
7 p.m. ET Update: Kyrie Irving will reportedly stay with the Dallas Mavericks on a three-year $126 million deal. Khris Middleton will also return to the Milwaukee Bucks on a three-year deal worth $102 million.
6 p.m. ET Update: Draymond Green is reportedly staying with the Golden State Warriors on a four-year deal worth $100 million. His signing doesn't move the odds for the Warriors, but his departure likely would have impacted them negatively in betting markets.
The Celtics, Nuggets, Bucks and Suns are in their own tier as far as their title odds. All four teams have less than 10-1 odds to win the NBA championship in 2024 and two of those teams have already made significant moves this summer.
The Nuggets and Bucks have key free agents — Bruce Brown for the Nuggets and Khris Middleton for the Bucks — who they are hoping to re-sign to deals. The Warriors are the next team on the oddsboard and they are hoping to re-sign Draymond Green when free agency begins after swapping Chris Paul for Jordan Poole last week.
Aside from free agency signings, there are a number of potential trades that are up in the air for contending teams, most notably James Harden, who will reportedly opt-in to a one-year deal and seek a trade from the 76ers. One of the teams he's reportedly interested in, the Clippers, are +1800 to win the NBA title next season.
And, of course, there is the ongoing Damian Lillard saga in Portland, which is a huge unanswered question ahead of free agency. If he ends up on a team like the Heat, one of the teams he's expressed interest in if he decides to leave the Trail Blazers, their title odds would likely move from their current position at +1700.
We'll be keeping track of any moves and their impact on title odds and conference odds as things develop.
Past Market Moving Deals

Kristaps Porzingis to Boston
The Celtics went from +500 before the Porzingis trade to +460 and are the favorites to win the NBA title with the Nuggets slightly behind them.
Bradley Beal to Phoenix
The Suns were listed at +700 and then moved to +600 briefly before settling at +650 after acquiring Beal.
