Nuggets vs. Pacers Betting Preview

The Denver Nuggets lead the all-time head-to-head series against the Indiana Pacers, 54-46. Michael Malone’s team enters the game with a strong 37-20 record, placing them third in the Western Conference.

Denver’s record is tied with the Memphis Grizzlies for the second-best in the West, and with a win tonight, they will move into second place. However, they trail the first-place Oklahoma City Thunder by 9.5 games.

Few teams in the NBA have experienced more success over the past three years than the Nuggets. They’ve made the playoffs in six consecutive seasons, capped off by winning the 2023 World Championship. Last year, however, they were eliminated by the Dallas Mavericks in the Western Conference Semifinals.

Denver’s nine-game win streak was snapped on Saturday by the Los Angeles Lakers. This season, they have a 17-11 road record.

Three-time MVP Nikola Jokić leads the team with 29.4 points, 12.7 assists, and 10.2 rebounds per game. Jamal Murray has been a steady contributor, averaging 21.2 points and 6.1 assists. Michael Porter Jr. has added 18.6 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

On the other hand, the Indiana Pacers enter this contest with a 32-23 record, currently holding the fourth-best record in the Eastern Conference. Head coach Rick Carlisle has done an excellent job since taking over the team, leading the Pacers to the Eastern Conference Finals last season, where the Boston Celtics defeated them.

Since 2020, the Pacers have made the playoffs just once. However, they have been one of the best home teams in the NBA this season, boasting a 16-8 record, the second-best home record in the East.

Indiana is looking to secure back-to-back victories after their 129-111 win last night, and they’ve now won three straight games.

Veteran Pascal Siakam leads the team with 20.5 points and 7.3 rebounds per game. Tyrese Haliburton has also had a strong season, averaging 18.1 points and a team-high 8.6 assists. Former Arizona standout Bennedict Mathurin has contributed 16.4 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.

Best Bet: Nuggets  -5
