I'm not sure the Pelicans even want to show up at Little Caesars Arena today after getting blown to Lake Charles when hosting the Pistons in an ugly 127-81 loss last Monday.
The story of the Pelicans' season, injuries, carries into today as well with Zion Williamson (back) once again a doubtful participant after missing the their last game, another blowout loss (this one 134-93 at Minnesota) on Friday.
The Pelicans have lost by 20 points or more in three of their last five games, including the aforementioned Detroit blowout.
Meanwhile, the Pistons could use another confidence boost after a tough loss in Dallas on Friday. But Detroit has been mostly reliable this season, and won't lack for confidence after hitting 55% from the floor in last Monday's runaway win.
