The Phoenix Suns take on the Sacramento Kings in a Western Conference clash on Friday night.

These teams sit close together in the standings, as the eighth-place Kings find themselves two games back of the seventh-place Suns with the postseason just around the corner.

So, where does the betting value lie? Let's dive into the Suns vs. Kings odds and make a prediction and pick in our NBA betting preview for Friday, April 12.

Phoenix Suns

Now is the time to buy on the Suns. I can't believe I'm writing that, but I also truly believe it.

The only player listed on the injury report is Damion Lee, who has not played a single game all season. The Suns are fully healthy right now, which is something we haven't been able to say for large chunks of the season.

The team chemistry might not be the best, but winning cures all troubles, and that starts with Friday night in Sacramento.

Despite the road game, the Suns have a rest advantage and are coming off a road win over the Clippers on Wednesday night.

Along with playing the Suns in this game, I bet their title futures, as they're lined up to be a strong 7-seed while avoiding the Denver side of the bracket.

Sacramento Kings

I would not sound the Sacramento panic alarm yet — the beam team still has its lights on, Despite dropping back to the 8-seed and losing to the Pelicans on Thursday night, the Kings have still clinched a play-in spot and will likely have two play-in opportunities to make the playoffs. Plus, they own the tiebreaker over the Warriors.

The injuries to Malik Monk and Kevin Huerter continue to hamper Sacramento because the loss of wing depth and shooting really hurts both De'Aaron Fox's spacing and Domantas Sabonis' quick passes to shooters and backcutters.

But it will have to be those two who get the Kings over the hump again this season.

Betting Pick & Prediction

The rest and health advantages are the two main reasons to grab a Suns ticket. The market also shows sharp action on the Suns, as well as line movement toward that side.

The current -5 number is the last number I would play before pivoting to a one-unit bet on the moneyline.

Pick: Suns -5
