Pistons vs. Trail Blazers Preview
The Pistons face off against the Blazers today and I’m targeting our guy Malik Beasley.
Beasley is averaging 4 three-pointers made per game and 4.6 over his last 20. He’s coming off a down-game, knocking down only 2 three-pointers his last time out. So, we have a little buy-low opportunity against Portland tonight.
When the Pistons played the Blazers earlier this season, Beasley put up 9 three-point attempts, but made only 1 of them. I expect the volume to remain the same, at the very least, but the conversion-rate should improve this time around.
Since the All-Star Break, the Blazers are allowing the eighth-most above the break 3s by frequency, and their opponents are shooting 35.5% from three-point range (league-average over that stretch), per Cleaning the Glass.
Beasley is taking 54% of hit shots from above the break, and an absurd 70% from beyond the arc. I’ll back Beasley to hit 4+ three-pointers on Sunday night.
Best Bet: Malik Beasley Over 3.5 Three-Pointers Made (-110)

Pistons vs. Trail Blazers Betting Predictions
Despite their latest loss, all the betting trends appear to point toward Detroit in this spot.
The Pistons hold a record of 11-7-2 against the spread vs. Western Conference teams, ranking third among Eastern Conference teams in that department.
As a road team, Detroit is 20-11-2 ATS and has a 7-3-2 record when playing the second night of a back-to-back.
The Pistons have been consistent, particularly against teams with losing records, with a 24-10 record in those matchups. Let's back Detroit to win outright on the moneyline tonight.
