Trail Blazers vs. Bulls Betting Preview & Predictions

Bulls -6
By Picks Office
The Bulls are heating up right now, scoring 124.2 points per game over their last five games with a field-goal percentage of 48.9% and a 3-point percentage of 39.8%.
Coby White has also been on fire. He scored 27.7 PPG in the month of March en route to earning Eastern Conference Player of the Month honors.
On the other side, Portland’s defense has been cooked lately, giving up 123.8 PPG on 52.1% shooting from the field and 48.3% shooting from beyond the arc over its last five games.
To make matters worse for the Blazers, they're without Deandre Ayton, Jerami Grant and Scoot Henderson.
The Bulls have also been way better offensively at home, putting up 116.4 PPG on 46.2% shooting and a 35.9% shooting from deep. Portland allows 113.9 PPG on the road and struggles to defend the arc (36% opponent 3P%).
Chicago leads in rebounding (45.4-43.9), assist-to-turnover ratio (2.10-1.57) and effective field-goal percentage. It essentially has an edge in every efficiency stat.
The Bulls have also been a covering machine of late, going 16-5 against the spread in their last 21 matchups. They've also won six of their last eight games at the United Center.
Portland fades without its starters, relying on Shaedon Sharpe to carry the load.
Meanwhile, the Bulls are locked into the play-in but still have motivation with seeding on the line. Plus, this is a strong bounce-back spot after Chicago's loss in Portland in January.
Best Bet: Bulls -6 (-110)

Deni Avdija Over 8.5 Rebounds
Deni Avdija has crushed on the glass since the start of March. He leads the Blazers with 10.5 rebounds and 17.0 rebound chances in 15 games.
Toumani Camara, Scoot Henderson and Duop Reath are among the top six in rebound chances over that stretch, but Camara and Reath got banged up last night and didn't return to the game. Plus, Henderson is still dealing with a concussion.
With those injuries, Avdija could have even less competition than usual on the glass tonight.
Chicago ranks 20th in rebounding rate and 29th in rebounds allowed per game. Its extremely fast pace — which ranks third in the league — provides plenty of rebounding opportunities.
This game has a fairly tight spread, so a blowout shouldn't be in play.
Pick: Deni Avdija Over 8.5 Rebounds (-135)
