Tournament FAQ's
Format
First to 11 by 1’s and 2’s — it’s the best one-on-one format. Have to win by 2. No need to overcomplicate things.
Seeding
Our panelists — Matt Moore, Rob Perez, Justin Phan and Bryan Mears — used a combination of advanced analytics, conversations with current/former players and the eye test to make their individual set of rankings (you can check out their analysis here). From those rankings, they created a consensus on the top 64 players who have been seeded like the NCAA tournament — four sets of 1-16 seeds.
Determining Winners
We’re going to sim the games on NBA 2K, using their 1-on-1 feature. We’ll provide lines for each game and comprehensive previews of each game.
Where to Watch
We’ll be posting videos of each simulation on the Action Network Twitter on Saturday March 28. Stay tuned for more details.
