Toronto Raptors vs Orlando Magic NBA Sunday Preview

By Bruce Marshall

We're still on the lookout for an uptick for the Magic, which has been hinted at in recent weeks, but put on hold in recent days with back-to-back losses at home to the Cavs and Warriors, who both hit the Kia Center very hot.

Orlando appeared to have Golden State on the ropes on Thursday night before Steph Curry exploded for 56 points, but encouraging for the Magic was their 51% shooting percentage and Paolo Banchero posted his best game since returning from injury, pouring in 41 points.

The Magic also have some business to take care of here after blowing a 21-point lead north of the border on January 21, not long after Banchero returned to action, but when Franz Wagner was still sidelined.

The Raptors are starting to look a bit tired too, losing back-to-back games on the road at Indiana and Chicago after pushing the Celtics last Tuesday at Scotiabank Arena.

Best Bet: Magic -7.5 (-110)

Raptors vs Magic Same Game Parlay

By Kyle Murray

Paolo Banchero Over 6.5 Rebounds

Banchero has had some unimpressive rebounding showings as of late, but this looks to be a good spot for him to bounce back against the Raptors, a top-7 rebounding matchup for opposing big men.

Paolo projects for 7.5 rebounds tonight. This number looks good at -120 or -125, as this number is listed as short as -155 at some books.

Franz Wagner Over 28.5 Points + Assists

Franz Wagner has had a strong season. He is averaging just over 25 points per game and 4.9 assists, and has had massive usage in recent weeks with his brother Mo Wagner and Jalen Suggs out.

That has led to consistent 20+ shot attempt nights, which he has done in each of his last 3 games.

Wagner may nearly be able to clear this number on points alone. I have him projected for 28.5 points.

The Raptors rank 24th in defensive efficiency.

Raptors vs Magic Parlay Picks

  • Magic -7.5
  • Paolo Banchero Over 6.5 Rebounds
  • Franz Wagner Over 28.5 Points + Assists

Parlay Payout: +420
