The Phoenix Suns (36-45) and Sacramento Kings (39-42) will meet in the NBA this afternoon. Tipoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. The game will broadcast live on NBA League Pass.

The Kings are 15.5-point favorites over the Suns on the spread (Kings -15.5), with the over/under set at 224 total points. Sacramento is a -1100 favorite to win outright, while Phoenix is +700 to pull off the upset.

Let's get into my Suns vs. Kings predictions and NBA picks for Sunday, April 13.

Suns vs. Kings Picks, Prediction

I will not be betting on either side of the spread in this matchup, because look at that line. The spread is -15.5, and the Kings have all the incentive to win because of a shot at hosting the 9-10 game… but they're also the Kings. However, I do find the first half spread intriguing in this spot.

My Kings vs. Suns best bet is on Sacramento to cover the first half spread at -8.5, with the best line currently available at Fanatics. But as always, make sure to shop for the best line using our live NBA odds page.

My Pick: Kings First Half Spread -8.5 (-115)

Suns vs. Kings Preview

The Kings will be without Malik Monk and Jake LaRavia. The Suns will sit, at least, Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Bradley Beal, and Nick Richards.

The issue here is that, if you're taking overs, you need whoever you bet on to possibly cover in a short amount of time. And if you're taking unders, you’re at risk of the game script not being in your favor, or just generally unpredictable NBA rotations.

For me, the only play I'm interested in is the Kings’ first-half spread, which is sitting around -8.5 right now at multiple sportsbooks.

I have no confidence in the second half, and we’re all just playoff-ready at this point, so I’m taking the Kings in the first half to handle their business and set the stage for a mildly interesting Play-In game against the tumultuous Mavericks.

Suns vs. Kings Best Bet

  • Kings 1H -8.5 (-115)
