Phoenix Suns vs Los Angeles Lakers NBA Preview

No LeBron James and no Rui Hachimura. Dorian Finney-Smith and Gabe Vincent are questionable, but Luka Doncic, Jayson Hayes, and Dalton Knecht are all probable, which is at least something for the Lakers.

I've outlined multiple times lately that Phoenix is the second worst against the spread team this season, but credit where it's due: they've covered in six of eight.

I don't want to bet either side ATS here, and that also goes for the moneyline, where it's a Phoenix-or-nothing spot, for the most part, and just… no, thank you. That's not the ticket I want for this game.

The over is tempting, but I will hold off. The Suns have played in three straight unders but that isn't enough to give me confidence in a game where I'll still have questions about the defense both ways, regardless of how each unit has overachieved recently.

To the props we go. I'm running it back with a bet I liked earlier this week that cashed. Austin Reaves Over 10.5 Rebounds + Assists is listed at -115 on Fanatics.

Reaves has gone over this line in three straight games overall, and six straight without LeBron James.

The Suns are also in the top-10 in most rebounds and assists allowed per 100 possessions this NBA season.
