The Nuggets were able to stop the Suns' star-studded offense in Game 1 en route to a dominant win.
Selling out to cover every Devin Booker and Kevin Durant pick and roll helped. As did several of the Nuggets' undersized wings, who faced up against DeAndre Ayton admirably.
And then came playoff Jamal Murray, who reinforced his position as one of the best guards in the league. Despite an off game by Nikola Jokic — by his standards — the Nuggets dominated the game on the back of Murray's offensive exploits.
The Suns don't have an answer for Murray defensively. Josh Okogie or Torrey Craig may be their best options, but the two are liabilities offensively. Booker can't be bothered with 40 minutes of defense against a high volume scorer like Murray — it'll affect Booker on the offensive end, and he'll risk foul trouble. And Chris Paul is washed.
With these factors in mind, sharp and big moneyed bettors prefer one side of the spread and moneyline tonight. The Action Network's proprietary tracking data pulls betting volume from all the major American sportsbooks.
