Thunder vs. Pelicans Preview

One more chance to bet on the wagon that was the Thunder ATS this regular season. Oklahoma City went 54-27 (67%) ATS this season, just an absolute monster.

Sure, they’re resting players, as they should as the No.1 seed, but this team is deep and disciplined. Their bench guys often play with their G-League affiliate, the Blue. They are not a typical reserve squad.

Meanwhile, how about this trend: underdogs of 11.5 or more on the last day of the season are just 9-20 ATS since 2014-15. OKC doesn’t have any reason to win, but that’s not the point. That’s not how the Thunder approach these games.

The Pelicans are still playing some decent role guys, which is why the line is as short as it is with OKC resting. But I think OKC is good enough in scheme and system to win comfortably anyway. It’s what they do.
