Thunder vs. Pistons Picks, Prediction
Spread
Both teams have strong cases, and we'll go into that, but I'll stay away.
Moneyline
There's an upside to sprinkling on the Pistons, although I would need better odds to consider it.
Over/Under
I'm not interested in the total for this one, but I will be interested in props.
My Pick: Cason Wallace Over 9.5 points

Thunder vs. Pistons Preview
Oklahoma City is only favored by -5 points in this spot. A few things here. Detroit is at home, and Jaden Ivey aside, they're healthy. The Thunder will be without Jalen Williams and Chet Holmgren, plus Aaron Wiggins is questionable. Otherwise, all relevant players are here.
Detroit lost to the Wizards at home, but in their defense, they had just beaten them there two nights earlier and had won 12 of 15 prior to that. Following a loss, they're 19-9-1 against the spread, second in the NBA to just the Boston Celtics.
The Thunder, who won in Boston on Wednesday, are the sixth-best road favorite in the league ATS at 16-11-2 and are 6-5-1 with a rest advantage. The Pistons are 10-4-1 with a rest disadvantage, second to just the Portland Trail Blazers ([), and 10-6-1 as a home 'dog, sixth in the league.
Truthfully, I love both of these teams, so I'm staying away from the spread. Both have great resumes and strong cases, and OKC is deep enough regardless of two major absences.
The moneyline is a Pistons or nothing spot, save for a parlay leg. I think there's a real upside to sprinkling on the Pistons. Straight up, they're 9-6 with a rest disadvantage (fifth), 7-10 as a home underdog (eighth), and 17-12 after a loss (also eight). But with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander active, we'll stay away. We're only getting +190 on the moneyline. I need +220 or better to consider.

Thunder vs. Pistons Prediction
I like Cason Wallace over 9.5 points here. No J-Dub, no Holmgren, and Wiggins is questionable. Wallace is likely to start again and has 10 or more points in seven of his last 11 starts, all this season.
In a game likely fielding a ton of bets on SGA and Cade Cunningham, it's always smart — and often difficult — to pinpoint the role players around these two stars that could overperform. Wallace fits that profile in this spot, even if Wiggins plays.
Best Bet: Cason Wallace Over 9.5 Points (-150)
