Minnesota Timberwolves vs Milwaukee Bucks NBA Betting Preview
The Milwaukee Bucks and Minnesota Timberwolves have both been great against the spread lately. The Bucks have covered in three of four and in seven of 10, while the Wolves have covered in four of five, five of seven and in 11 of 17.
I'd lean Wolves at -5.5 because, while Milwaukee has four straight wins and three straight covers, consider that the opposition includes home against Phoenix then at Philadelphia, Miami and New Orleans.
For the Timberwolves, they also have Phoenix at home, but they also have the Pistons, plus on the road, Denver — most notably — along with Brooklyn and Philly, the latter wasn't a cover.
Of note, Minnesota is 12-13 ATS as a road favorite and Milwaukee is 3-4 ATS as a road dog, which is seventh worst in the NBA.
Timberwolves vs Bucks Betting Predictions
I like the Timberwolves in this spot.
The Wolves’ recent body of work is better, the Bucks don't have as many impressive wins, and not having Lillard matters. Anthony Edwards is averaging north of 28 points per game over his last 13, which isn't jaw-dropping giving his season, but over that stretch, he's shooting 48/35/84 splits.
Consider that the 35 percent shooting from three is coming on over 10 attempts per game while hitting 62 percent of twos. He's been efficient with volume and overall more effective as the Wolves have surged late in the year.
Plus, Julius Randle is playing better complementary basketball and his usage is down to 25 on the season. Randle is averaging 18.4 points, 6.6 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game since his return 17 games ago, and he's notably shooting 51/37/79 splits during that stretch. The 51 percent shooting comes on 12.6 field goal attempts per game.
