The Portland Trail Blazers have absolutely nothing to play for down the stretch of the NBA regular season.
However, that didn't stop them from pulling off the biggest NBA upset in 30 years with Sunday's victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The Timberwolves were as large as 19.5-point home favorites over the Trail Blazers Sunday afternoon.
Portland pulled off the outright victory, 107-105.
According to our NBA odds tracker, FanDuel had the best price on Trail Blazers moneyline (+1500), while the Timberwolves were as expensive as -4000.
Since 1995, teams were 0-51 straight up as underdogs of 18 or more points entering Sunday.
It's an especially embarrassing moment for Minnesota, which is mired in the play-in shuffle and seeded No. 9 in the West.
Portland entered Sunday 1-11 in its past 12 games.
The 19.5-point spread to the T-Wolves marked Portland's fifth straight game as a double-digit underdog. The Blazers have dropped games by 40, 34 and 24 across that span.
The Trail Blazers were the NBA's worst team against the spread last season at 30-51-1 (37%). They're 37-41 after covering against Minnesota and will finish with a losing clip for bettors yet again.
Large spreads are nothing new with the season winding down. In fact, a whopping seven of Sunday's 15 NBA games featured double-digit spreads.
