Victor Wembanyama Special Bets to Make for the 2024-25 NBA Season

Victor Wembanyama Special Bets to Make for the 2024-25 NBA Season article feature image

One of the most polarizing players in the NBA is Victor Wembanyama.

The Frenchman had an impressive rookie season for the San Antonio Spurs, averaging 21.4 points and 10.6 rebounds while leading the league blocks at 3.6 per game. Those averages earned him the Rookie of the Year award, an All-Defensive first-team selection, and he finished second in Defensive Player of the Year voting.

It was also a busy offseason for Wembanyama, as he had an impressive outing in these past Olympic Games, leading his hosting country to the gold medal game against Team USA. Though France won the silver medal, Wembanyama scored 26 points and shot 58 percent from the field in that game.

The 20-year-old alien is far from reaching his prime and has shown dominance since last year. The NBA season is a month away, soit's only right to predict some future Wemby bets that have the potential to hit.

FanDuel sportsbook has a section dedicated to Wembanyama, titled "Wemby Specials", which displays six high-performing bets. I'm going to go through some of my favorites.

Wemby to Score 55+ Points in any 2024-25 Regular Season Game (+650)

This one shouldn't be much of a surprise. Wembanyama will get his points and continuously add to his offensive game, especially after showing what he can do as a rookie.

His career-high as a rookie was 40 points in a double-overtime victory against the New York Knicks. He scored 30 or more points 11 times last season, and in the final month of the regular season, he averaged 25 points per game.

This upcoming season, he won't have to create for himself as often since the San Antonio Spurs acquired Chris Paul in the offseason on a one-year deal. Though Paul's prime is way behind him, and retirement is around the corner, he's still one of the greatest playmakers ever.

With Paul quarterbacking the offense, Wembanyama should get more open looks. The pick-and-roll game between them will be fun to watch, which explains Wemby scoring 55 or more points in a game seems highly possible.

Wemby to Record a Quadruple-Double in Any 2024-25 Regular Season Game (+1200)

Now for some fun. Wembanyama has shown he's a good playmaker, especially for someone who can handle the basketball at his stature.

He averaged six assists during that five-game stretch to end the regular season in April and averaged 3.9 assists last season.

Wembanyama came close to dropping a quadruple-double last season in a game against the Denver Nuggets. His stat line was 23 points, 15 rebounds, 8 assists, and 9 blocks while going up against Nikola Jokic.

The points, rebounds, and blocks are the statistics a bettor will have the most confidence in a bet like this. It will mostly come down to Wemby dishing the basketball. Whether Devin Vassell or Keldon Johnson is scoring, or Chris Paul has the hot hand, the Wemby quadruple-double will fall on the assists.

The addition of Harrison Barnes also adds another forward who shoots the ball at high efficiency, which will aid Wemby in potentially achieving this.

This bet isn't far from reach. Wemby needs an all-around generational game for just one out of the 82. Even if you put a little money into this, it's worth it.
