The Warriors have postponed their second game since assistant coach Dejan Milojević died of a heart attack on Wednesday at the age of 46.
The game vs. the Mavericks was supposed to take place on Friday night from San Francisco. The Warriors had postponed their Wednesday night game against the Jazz in Salt Lake City.
Milojević was hospitalized after an incident at a team dinner in Salt Lake City.
"We are absolutely devastated by Dejan's sudden passing," head coach Steve Kerr said in a statement. "This is a shocking tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family, friends, and all of us who had the incredible pleasure to work with him.
"In addition to being a terrific basketball coach, Dejan was one of the most positive and beautiful human beings I have ever known," Kerr added, "someone who brought joy and light to every single day with his passion and energy."
Milojević was in his third season as a Warriors assistant coach. Beforehand, Milojević had a decorated career as a player, winning three straight MVPs in the Adriatic League from 2004 to 2006. He was beloved by players across Europe and helped mentor the likes of Luka Doncic, Nikola Jokic and several other current NBA stalwarts.
