Warriors PF Draymond Green
The Pick: Over 10 rebounds (-114)
Draymond is coming off just 10 boards in his last contest, but there’s reason to expect some positive regression for him in Game 2. He’s seen a team-high bump of +1.4% to his rebound rate with Kevin Durant off the court during the postseason, resulting in an average of 10.7 rebounds per 36 minutes.
He played over 40 minutes in Game 1 and is currently projected for 40.1 minutes tonight and has pulled down at least 10 boards in each of his past 10 games. Green led all players with 18 rebound opportunities in Game 1.
Green has displayed a floor of 10 rebounds recently, so this wager feels pretty safe. I’d play the over up to -130.
Raptors PG Fred VanVleet
The Pick: Over two rebounds (+135)
VanVleet is going to play a big role in this series because of his defensive ability on Steph Curry. He’s been fantastic on Curry through their first two meetings this season, limiting him to 2-12 shooting over 72 total possessions.
As a result, expect him to play big minutes in tonight’s contests. He’s currently projected for 32 minutes, and VanVleet averaged 3.4 rebounds per 36 minutes during the regular season.
Two rebounds is a pretty low bar to clear for someone who expects to play as much as VanVleet. I’m willing to roll the dice at +135 and would be willing to play it up to +115.
