The Golden State Warriors have flourished with Steve Kerr at the helm as their head coach and the Kerr era will extend at least until 2026. According to multiple reports, the Warriors have signed Kerr to a two-year extension worth $35 million.

At $17.5 million per year, Kerr's deal comes in slightly higher on a per season basis than Erik Spoelstra, who signed an eight-year $120 million extension earlier this season. As The Athletic Anthony Slater notes, Kerr's deal runs concurrent with Stephen Curry's current contract, which also ends after the 2025-26 season.
During Kerr's tenure, the Warriors have been a powerhouse in the NBA. Since Kerr became the head coach in the 2014-15 season, he leads all coaches in regular and postseason wins with 500-264 record. But Kerr really earned his reputation in the playoffs where he has been the most profitable coach against the spread with a 76-65-1 record.
The Warriors face an uphill climb to make it back to the playoffs this season. Entering Friday's games, the Warriors were 10th in the Western Conference standings with a 28-26 record. Their odds to make the playoffs at BetMGM were listed at -105 and their odds to miss were -115.
