The Golden State Warriors are going to be the most dangerous team in the NBA Play-In Tournament by a wide margin.

Steph Curry had an MVP push to end the 2021 regular season. He's always been known as a dynamic scorer and, more recently, he has been universally regarded as the greatest shooter of all time.

Near the end of the season, we've seen Curry stretch the limits of what's imaginable in terms of 3-point volume. He leads the league in 3-point attempts but he has even tested himself — there have been stretches this season where the two-time MVP has averaged well over 13.0 attempts per game from 3-point range.

Curry is a special player, one who literally gets better as his 3-point attempt rate increases. With this being the case, it is obvious why teams don't want to see Curry in the volatile Play-In Tournament.

With Curry back in the lineup, Draymond Green has continued to be a big-time playmaker and defender, but his impact on winning is a lot easier to see with Curry's offensive gravity changing the dimensions of the floor.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, Kelly Oubre — one of their top non-Curry scoring options — will miss the Play-In Tournament with a wrist injury.

Golden State has been average against the spread (ATS) but has been better at the Chase Center than on the road. For Warriors bettors, it is surely disappointing that this team won't get home court for their first game. But as long as the championship-winning duo of Green and Curry suit up as expected, the Warriors will be one of the more intriguing teams in this new format.

The Los Angeles Lakers are the reigning NBA Champions but have been ravaged by injuries like no other team, with their two best players — who are also two of the best players in the entire league — missing extended stretches of time.

Anthony Davis tried his best to lift the Lakers down the stretch and turned in some big-time performances, including back-to-back wins over the Suns (42 points) and Knicks (20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists).

The Lakers have been one of the more unimpressive teams against the spread (ATS). Despite their lackluster record ATS, they did show tremendous fight on the road, where they fared better.

With their elite defense and myriad of injuries, the Lakers were always a team to monitor for game totals. Frank Vogel's group was No. 1 to the under this season, going 41-28-2 according to our data at Action Labs.

With Dennis Schroder also back, the Lakers would be the deepest team in the Western Conference if they advance past the play-in.
