Golden State Warriors vs Orlando Magic NBA Thursday Preview

The Orlando Magic will host the Golden State Warriors from the Sunshine State on Thursday night. Golden State begins this contest with a record of 31-27, enough for eighth in the West. The Warriors have averaged 112.8 points per game.

While no franchise has won more championships over the last decade than the Warriors, Steve Kerr’s team has had its ups and downs this season. They saw one of the core players of its championship team depart in the offseason when Klay Thompson inked a contract with the Mavericks.

A future Hall of Famer, Thompson won four Championships with Golden State, so the Warriors turned to their younger players to fill Thompson's void. Golden State got aggressive at the trade deadline, landing veteran all-star Jimmy Butler. Butler was unhappy with his situation in Miami and forced his way out of the franchise.

The veteran has averaged 18.0 points per game in seven games with the Warriors, who into this contest on a hot streak, having won four straight games and seven of their last ten.

Veteran Steph Curry leads the team with 23.3 points per game and 6.1 assists. Jonathan Kuminga has averaged 16.8 points and 5.0 rebounds, but the 22-year-old has not played since January 4. Buddy Hield has added 11.6 points and 3.3 rebounds.

The Magic arrive at this game with a 29-31 record, averaging 103.9 points per game. Orlando has posted the seventh-best record in the East, trailing the final Eastern Conference playoff spot by 4.5 games.

Head coach Jamahl Mosley knows his team is better than its record indicates. Last year, the Magic reached the playoffs for the first time since 2021 but lost in the first round against the Cavaliers.

However, Orlando has struggled to find a flow this season and is 5-5 over their last ten games. Mosley and the Magic will attempt to rebound from Tuesday night's 122-82 loss to the Cavs.

Franz Wagner leads the Magic with 24.9 points per game and 4.9 assists, while former Duke standout Paolo Banchero has averaged 23.0 points and 7.0 rebounds. Jalen Suggs has added 16.2 points and 3.7 assists. Suggs has not played since January 25.

Warriors vs Magic Same Game Parlay

Magic +4.5

I love the value we are getting on Orlando tonight.

The Magic match well with this Warriors team, which lacks offensive firepower.

Orlando ranks first in the NBA in points allowed per game (105.5), so we'll see a close, low-scoring back-and-forth game that favors the underdog.

Wendell Carter Over 8.5 Points

Wendell Carter Jr. is in a strong position to exceed this number tonight.

The big man has averaged 8.9 points per game this season and has a favorable matchup against this Warriors squad.

Our Action Pro Report projects 11.6 points from Carter tonight.

Moses Moody Under 3.5 Rebounds

Also, look out for Moses Moody.

He has averaged 2.3 rebounds per game in 19.8 minutes, and the pace of this game won't help him.

Our Action Pro Report projects 3.0 rebounds from the shooting guard tonight.

Best Bet: Magic +4.5 (-110)

Warriors vs Magic Parlay Picks
