For many, the Final Four is a culmination of the college basketball season. For others, it's about sweating some massive futures that some have been waiting all season to see if they are going to hit.

It can be an especially stressful time for sportsbooks, especially when the teams remaining had some pretty lucrative odds throughout the season.

There are a few massive bets that sportsbooks will be on the ropes to see if they have to payout.

Florida Atlantic Bets

Florida Atlantic's Cinderella run could cause some serious issues for sportsbooks. FAU's odds were as high as 2500-1 to win the National Championship during some points in the season.

One Illinois bettor placed four different bets on FAU to win the title. The bettor placed three $100 bets on FAU at 2500-1 and then placed another $100 bet on the Owls at 500-1. If FAU is able to win two more games, that bettor would see an $800,000 pay day.

That bettor isn't the only one who would be looking at a lucrative pay day if FAU can pull it off. Caesars took another bet on FAU at 2500-1, that $30 bet would cash for $75,000.

PointsBet took three different $50 wagers at 300-1 odds which would pay $15,000 each.

Caesars also took two massive bets on FAU during the tournament. One was $15,000 at 20-1 odds to win $350,00. The other was $15,000 at 13-1 odds to win $210,00.

At FanDuel, there was a $476 bet on FAU at 200-1 that would pay $95,000.

Miami Bets

Miami could also turn out to be a massive liability for sportsbooks.

FanDuel took a $35,000 bet on Miami that would pay $485,000 and a $55,000 bet on Miami that would pay $320,000.

Back on April 26, 2022, Caesars took a $1,000 bet at 250-1 odds on Miami that would pay $251,000. There was also a $500 bet on that same day at 250-1 odds that would pay $125,500.

During the tournament, one Illinois bettor placed a $20,000 bet on Miami at 15-1 odds. That bettor would be looking at $320,000 payday if the Hurricanes can win two more games.

One bettor at PointsBet placed a $1,000 bet at 50-1 odds on Miami that would pay out $50,000.

UConn Bets

UConn hasn't had the same longshot odds as FAU or even Miami but there are still some significant bets out there.

Caesars took a $25,000 bet at 20-1 odds on UConn that would pay $500,000.

One bettor at PointsBet was able to get 80-1 odds and placed a $225 wager to win $18,000.

San Diego State Bets

San Diego State is likely the smallest liability for most sportsbooks. The biggest bet was at Caesars, where one bettor placed $15,000 at +950 odds during the tournament that would pay $157,500.

Some bettors were able to get 80-1 odds for SDSU to win the title at PointsBet. The most notable was a $200 bet to win $16,000.
