My Arizona State vs Kansas State College Basketball Betting Preview

The 13-18 Arizona State Sun Devils enter Kansas City, Missouri, as the 15th seed in the Big 12 Tournament.

It’s been an underwhelming season for Bobby Hurley and the Sun Devils, who finished 4-16 in Big 12 play. Arizona State has lost its last four games and is 1-3 against the spread (ATS) in that span.

On Feb. 4, Kansas State defeated Arizona State, 71-70, in Tempe, AZ, pulling off an outright victory as a three-point underdog. Senior guard David N'Guessan led the way, scoring 22 points with an impressive 8-of-11 shooting performance from the field, along with eight rebounds.

Arizona State had a chance to win with two free throws, but Jayden Quaintance missed both attempts with three seconds left, allowing Kansas State to claim the victory.

Then, on Feb. 23, Arizona State bounced back with a crucial 66-54 win in Manhattan, defeating Kansas State as a 6.5-point underdog. Quaintance, motivated to avenge the earlier loss, led his team with 18 points and seven rebounds.

The Sun Devils’ strong second half was pivotal in securing the much-needed road victory in the Big 12.

Kansas State enters this game as the 10th overall seed in the Big 12 Tournament. The Wildcats are 13-14 overall, with a 7-9 record in the Big 12. They’ve won two of their last five games and are 3-2 ATS during that stretch.

Despite a challenging season, I believe Hurley will ignite his team tonight. Arizona State is desperate and has nothing to lose with its backs against the wall. Hurley’s squad plays fast and is efficient offensively.

If the Sun Devils can get some key stops on defense and force Kansas State into tough shots, I think Arizona State could surprise tonight, despite question marks surrounding the statuses of Adam Miller and Quaintance.

Give me the points and Arizona State.
