Arkansas vs South Carolina College Basketball Betting Preview

I believe South Carolina will beat Arkansas on Saturday.

First, no Adou Thiero matters for John Calipari's bunch, as I believe he's the Razorbacks' most important player.

Yes, they were able to beat Texas at home without him, but the Longhorns are reeling and it took overtime and Arkansas shooting 52% from 3 to post that win.

That's not going to happen often because this is terrible shooting team and a team that's super banged up right now. In addition to Thiero and obviously Boogie Fland (who's done for the season), Zvonimir Ivisic is dealing with issues.

For all of South Carolina's warts, it follows a certain pattern — it gets trucked on the road and then it comes back home and plays really well.

Take a look at these results in the Gamecocks' own building:

  • Lost to Auburn by three
  • Lost to Florida at the buzzer by one in a game they should've won
  • Lost to Mississippi State in overtime
  • Lost to Texas A&M by four
  • Lost to Ole Miss by four
  • Beat Texas by 15

They could easily have four or five wins at home.

Plus, all the pressure is on Arkansas in this spot.

I worry about South Carolina's transition defense a little bit, but someone has to eventually make a 3 against the Razorbacks.
