Baylor vs Cincinnati College Basketball Betting Preview
I think Baylor is toast, as its injuries have caught up to it and its performances on the road have been pretty poor this season (363rd in Haslametrics' away-from-home metric).
Yes, the Bears' road schedule has been a total murderer's row, but their victories in true away games have come against Arizona State and Utah.
The icing on the cake is a loss against a Colorado team that's 2-14 in the Big 12 and currently sits in last place in the conference standings.
Meanwhile, Cincinnati is trending up, as it has four victories in its last six, including a road win over UCF and competitive games away from home against West Virginia and Iowa State.
Mort importantly, and the reason this pick really sells for me, is the spot. The Bears are going from west to east while crossing two time zones after playing at Colorado on Saturday.
That's a lot to handle, especially when a team is struggling with rough losses and injuries.
Now, Cincinnati has been missing Simas Lukosius — who's currently dealing with a shoulder injury — but the Bearcats had good efforts in their last two outings.
I mentioned the three-point loss to West Virginia on the road in which they were competitive; however, they also easily handled an improved TCU team.
Wes Miller's team is deep at guard (Jizzle James, Dan Skillings Jr., Day Day Thomas), so I don't think it'll be impacted by the loss of Lukosius against Baylor.
