If you're not watching Caitlin Clark and women's college basketball, you're simply depriving yourself.

The Iowa Hawkeyes superstar ignited social media late on Tuesday night by drilling a game-winning 3-pointer against Michigan State.

The triple capped a 40-point night from Clark. And while it did take Clark 34 field goal attempts to get to that 40-burger, in the end, all that mattered was that the Hawkeyes got the win.

Was the ball still in Clark's hands when the clock hit all zeroes? The answer is a resounding no. While the clock on Peacock's broadcast seemed to show time running out before Clark got the shot off, the broadcast clock is not official. What is official is the red lights around the backboard — and this picture shows that Clark clearly got the shot off in plenty of time and that her game winner should have counted. And it did!

The Spartans did cover the 16.5-point spread, however, and Michigan State was +1100 on the moneyline to pull off the outright upset. The total over/under for Michigan State vs Iowa was set at 170.5, with the under cashing comfortably in the 76-73 Iowa win (149 total combined points).

With her 40 points on Tuesday, Clark has now scored 3,229 career points for Iowa. She trails Britney Griner by 54 points for fourth on the women's NCAA Division I all-time scoring list.

After the game winner, Clark naturally took over social media:
