Cincinnati vs Kansas State College Basketball Betting Preview
Yes, this is indeed the worst Kansas State team in the Jerome Tang era. The Wildcats have already lost five games, even though their schedule hasn't been particularly difficult.
But if there's any spot to count on the Wildcats, this is it.
The Wildcats have lost three straight games and are returning home to the friendly confines of the Octagon of Doom.
Out of their five losses, just one of those defeats have come in Manhattan, KS (LSU).
It's not like Tang forgot how to coach overnight, too. The Wildcats were breaking in an entirely new roster, one that lost their top four scorers from last year.
Beyond David N'Guessan, Kansas State has been counting on newcomers like Brendan Hausen, Dug McDaniel and Coleman Hawkins, among others. Those are four good pieces, and I eventually expect the Wildcats to be much more competitive, starting with this game against the Bearcats.
Cincinnati is red hot right now, as the Bearcats have won four straight, including their first victory over Xavier since 2018 and a win over Dayton.
But considering they have Arizona, Baylor and Kansas in their next three games, this is a complex spot.
Kansas State may not win this game, but this is the perfect opportunity to turn their season around, even with a tight loss.
Pick: Kansas State +4 (Play to +3)
