Clemson vs Louisville College Basketball Betting Preview
The ACC Tournament semifinals are here! On one side of the bracket, North Carolina faces off against Duke, and on the other side, Clemson takes on Louisville.
Clemson and Louisville played on Jan. 7 when the Cardinals won, 74-64, on their home floor. Louisville’s J’Vonne Hadley had a career day, dropping 32 points while shooting 10-of-12 from the floor.
Overall, this was a wire-to-wire win, as the Cardinals were up seven at halftime and did not look back. Louisville was favored by 3.5 points and covered with ease.
Now, Clemson is coming into this game with a nine-game winning streak. Although the Tigers are hot, they're also looking for redemption against Louisville.
Clemson hasn't been to the ACC Tournament Championship since 2008, and I think that changes after tonight’s matchup.
The Tigers are a better defensive team, and they play at a slow pace. That's going to cause problems for Pat Kelsey's Louisville team, which likes to get out and run.
If Clemson can get stops on the defensive end and defend the 3-point line, I think this team has a chance of doing something special. The Tigers play solid defense and are great at not fouling.
Expect to see Brad Brownell’s team fired up tonight and doing the little things right. Don’t be surprised if Clemson wins by 6-plus in this low-scoring defensive battle tonight in Charlotte.
