The first day of the college basketball season has arrived, meaning it's time to get your futures in ahead of a long and arduous year.
If you haven't quite gotten those tickets in yet, however, here is what the college basketball National Championship odds market currently looks like.
At the top of the market are two teams, North Carolina and Gonzaga, who are listed at +900 at BetMGM.
The duo accounts for 11.1% and 6.8% of the betting tickets, respectively, while also accounting for 13.1% and 7.0% of the handle.
North Carolina fell to Kansas in the National Championship game last year in devastating fashion, blowing a sizable lead before losing by three. The Jayhawks are the most-wagered-upon team in the nation, accounting for 11.8% of the tickets and 16.6% of the handle, listed at +1400.
Behind the two leaders is Kentucky, which is +1000 to win the title. The team has accounted for 8.2% of the betting tickets and 14.2% of the handle.
Tied with Kentucky is one of last year's Elite Eight representatives, the Houston Cougars. Houston is +1000 but isn't getting the same love as the Wildcats, as only 4.9% of the tickets and 5.3% of the handle is riding with the Cougs.
Following behind is Tennessee, which has taken a sharp dip since opening, from +2500 to +1400. The Volunteers have attracted 4.0% of the wagers and 5.0% of the handle.
